Group: Instructional Systems and Services
Time spent: 2 hrs
I was invited to a meeting for an Instructor in the Respiratory Therapy department. The instructor was interested in integrating interactive learning activities in her online courses. She particularly wanted something that would utilize case studies and branched decision-making. She was very interested in having the Instructional Design group design interactive eLearning modules that would present the students with a patient case in which they would be required to make decisions about how to treat the patient, how much medicine to dispense, etc. They would receive extensive feedback for every choice and even receive points for corrects answers and negative points for incorrect answers in some cases.
